The Clintonville Racing Squad suffered some mechanical woes late in the season. The engine was misfiring on one bank of cylinders and the transmission was not transferring power to the wheels effectively. It was time to pull out the engine and transmission and refurbish them.

Students ready the engine and transmission to be lifted from the engine bay. Work is being done in the high school shop.
Advisor Dick Fletcher watches closely as the engine is slowly raised.
Many hands are involved guiding the engine out of the car. For this group of students, this is a new adventure.
Ryan climbs out of the engine compartment while Dick, Terry, and the students guide the engine away from the car.
Terry lowers the engine with Dick guiding it. Advisor Erik Hodne and the students look on from a safe distance.
