THE JOAKS ON SONNY
Sire: Sonnys Chance (grullo) Joaker out of Fit Tasmokem All (grulla)
2007 AQHA - RED DUN - Colt

Baron arrived tonight. He sure was calm and settled in as if he had always lived here - WOW!!! Impressive! And especially after being on the road for 3+ days - he obviously is very good natured. And super cute. He is in a stall tonight and I expect I will stable him every night. We don't have many wild animals in the area, but I would sleep better knowing he is safely tucked into bed at night. He did nicker when we left the barn which also showed me he finds comfort in people. He is off to a very good start and the work you have done with him is obvious - the shipper also commented on the training you have done. I am looking forward to the journey ahead with Baron. Thanks again!

SONNYS COY SUPERSTAR
Sire: Sonnys Chance (grullo) Joaker out of Pixy Janes Star (Bay)
1998 AQHA - BAY - MARE

Good Day Linda!
Just a quick note to let you know that Skippy is doing great! She is really the greatest horse I have ever rode and I am so happy with her! I am planning to ride her in a schooling show in the middle of June. It will be a good low-key start to our showing career together. I also have her enrolled in another clinic to start eventing. Just kind of playing outside. She loves to jump and is very careful over those fences. A nice break from the dressage thing – she can get a little worked up with all of the collection. She is absolutely stunning riding in frame – jaws drop whenever she is looked at. Thanks again, Linda. Skippy is everything I have ever dreamed of and then some!!! I have to get some pictures taken of the two of us and I’ll email some to you!

JESTA SMOKIN JESTER
Sire: Sonnys Chance (grullo) Joaker out of Jesta Smokin Jessa (grullo)

2006 AQHA - GRULLO - STALLION

We have started with his saddle training - about two weeks ago and he is taking it pretty well.  We are not big in the showing business, but we have taken him to the local fair and other local shows (Saddle club) and he has dominated in the halter classes for his age group.  The only time he has gotten less than first in halter was when the only class was for geldings and stallions (all ages) he placed second out of 21 and he was only 18 months old.  He has acclimated to the weather here just fine and seems to be doing real well. He is going to be a very large horse, he is just what I was looking for.  Thank you for breeding such a wonderful horse.

JOAKERS ACE O SPADES
Sire: Sonnys Chance (grullo) Joaker out of Fit Tasmokem All (grullo)

2005 AQHA - BLACK - STALLION - Homozygous Black

I have been so happy with Ace; he has been a perfect gentleman, with wonderful ground manners. I’ve had him a year now and he is still the same baby that came off of the trailer at 8 month old, he is more sane then some of my other horses. The ground work that you have instilled in him goes such a long way. I have just purchased a set of DVD’s by Clinton Anderson and have plans to continue the training method you’ve started.  I will keep you posted as to the progress he makes.  I am very excited and plan to have him in a halter show this spring, if he is anything like his father, we should have good news coming your way. I’ve sent a few photos of Ace taken this month January 2007, he is standing with Robert.  By the way Robert is 6’6” tall, so as you can see Ace is a tall drink of water.  Hope all is well with you and your family; I thank you again for all of your help and in depth information regarding Ace.  I am looking forward to his future as a strong, stable, sound stallion. In my opinion there is no other place I would look further for another weanling/yearling then with you and your facility. Sincerely, Robin Pascale from NJ

JOAKERS MISSDEE MOON
2004 AQHA GRULLO FILLY

Sonnys Chance Joaker x Fit Tasmokem All
Wanted to let you know that Miss Dee just arrived and all went well they said and not a mark on her. SHe is pretty and I really do like her and feel she will fit right in here.  I love all the info you sent and what a great file you have given me and all your help.  YOu are very professional and kind in going the extra mile to get everything nice and is very appreciated as I don't find that much around always. I too try to give everything to help be like family to the new owners and want horse and human to be happy and well matched.  As always you have given me the best info!!!   We loved looking through your paperwork as we carry a lot of the same bloodlines and keep the legends books around as have kept our program to this type of line. She is sweet and can tell she's been worked with and handled a lot which is rare at her age and really helps me out as I have so many two year olds to train through late fall and won't have to worry about her. WE enjoy her so much already.  Has been such a pleasure working with you. Thanks again and have a great summer. Wendy Malone from Victor, Montana

JOAKERS BARRED MOON ("SMOKY")
2004 AQHA GRULLO COLT

Sonnys Chance Joaker x Bosses Krystal Moon
Smoky is a great horse!! He likes my husband - he went right up to him! The haulers liked him also, and they told me how gorgeous Smoky's sire is.It's hard to go by pictures sometimes, so for them to tell me that confirmed my feeling (I would have guessed that his sire was good looking in person also). I brushed Smoky out some today and I also rinsed him down (he was really good for everything). Well, I'll keep you updated on his progress & how he does at showing!!

JOAKERS DEELIGHT (aka Trouble)
1999 AQHA Red Dun Mare
Sonnys Chance Joaker x Leo Bar Tara (by Me A Tiger Too)
I took Trouble to the ABRA Show on June 14-15 in Elgin, IL. We did Western Pleasure, Horsemanship, dun factor, halter, showmanship and trail. Trail is our strongest class. On Saturday, one of the judges actually placed us first in Halter, Amateur Mares. I love my horse! We earned 72 points and walked away with Reserve, Amateur, Hi-Point. I missed Hi-Point by 6 points. FAIRFAX JOAK (aka Moxie)
1998 AQHA Grulla Mare
Sonnys Chance Joaker x Fairfax Gold
Moxie has charmed the entire ranch. Everyone loves her. She has a delightful personality and wonderful mind. Friendly, playful, eager and brave. I couldn't be more pleased with her progress. Last time I put a stick on her she was 15.3 hands and she is developing nice muscle. Her coat has become the envy of the local equestrian community. She is so awesome and gets so many compliments. Thank you! Dean Nelson, North Hills, CA.

Joakers Zipadee
JOAKERS ZIPADEE
2000 AQHA Chestnut Mare
Sonnys Chance Joaker x Clea Star
I bought Joaker's Zipadee as a weanling from Linda. It was obvious that she had been handled a lot because her ground manners were awesome, especially for a weanling. "Zippy" shows a lot of potential for the show ring. I would most definitely purchase another horse from your and recommend others to Linda. The care for the horses is there from day one and she is very helpful it I had any questions. Amy Flatland, WI

Zeus is the sweetest, most easy going, easily trained horse I have had the pleasure to work with (and he is a stud!). He's always polite, loves attention and is easy to handle. He has the nicest disposition in the entire barn (we have 25). Linda is also the nicest seller I have had the pleasure to deal with. We still keep in touch after three years and I wouldn't hesitate to buy a dozen more horses from her! Summer Cranford, Temple, GA

Big Boss Bonanza x Ernestine Supreme
We just love Krystal! She is part of the family. She will follow our son around like a puppy and put her head right in his arms for a hug. Scotty runs right over and gives her a scratch on the neck and a hug. He loves to ride her and she is very careful with him. We all thank you so much. Oh, Scotty said if I talk to you to tell you thank you! Scotty Nelson and Family, Rice Lake, WI

SONNYS MR JAGUAR (aka Riley)
2003 AQHA Sorrel Gelding
Sonnys Chance Joaker x Bosses Krystal Moon
I wanted to let you know how pleased I have been with Sonnys Mr Jaguar. "Riley" has the best temperament of any horse I have every worked with and he is sweet, sweet, sweet! I am double fortunate because not only does he have excellent manners and disposition but he is also gorgeous. He is already 15.3 hands and he will not be three until March. Everyone at the barn says it looks like I am up on stilts when I ride him because he really is ALL leg! His trot is smooth and balanced and he is naturally slow at the lope. I showed him in some greenie classes last summer and he did great in Western Pleasure as well as in Hunt Seat.
He is also a very sensible trail horse and he has already had many miles put on him at home and on away trips. Riley is a barn favorite and I just wanted to thank you for breeding such a wonderful horse! Kelly Olson, WI

Joakers Deetail
JOAKERS DEETAIL (aka Deetail)
2000 AQHA Dun Gelding
Sonnys Chance Joaker x Pixy Janes Star
We purchased Deetail as a weanling. He's a good boy. He is a beautiful dark golden dun. His color is very unusual and exactly what I want. He is so very nice and quite. He has matured into a large, beautiful horse. He's a solid 16.1 hands at the hip. I constantly hear comments of how BIG he is and how pretty. I prefer training dressage and trail riding over showing. Deetail would do very well in a show ring. He has a pretty, refined face with BIG black eyes and round substantial hips and chest. His color is striking and eye catching. Deetail is all personality. He is inquisitive and confident, quiet and smart. He has taught me patience and calm. In October I watched my sister (who rides and trains) ride him and I instructed her to collect him into a slow trot. I then SAW the movement I've only felt. His way of travel has to be seen, not described. He has this dancy trot, when if slow enough, his legs move with sideway rhythm. See? It has to be seen. He will gallop up to me in the pasture and halt to sniff my hand. I can change his speed with my seat and voice. I can ride him with a rope around his neck, bareback, in the moonlight. We are best friends. Tori Dupre, MN

JOAKERS STARS N BARS (aka Felix)
2004 AQHA Grullo Gelding
Sonnys Chance Joaker x Pixy Janes Star
He is totally awesome. Doesn't spook at anything, trusting of people, follows us anywhere and is so sweet. Stacie said she has never had a horse so easy to train. Everyone at the barn is nuts over him. Thanks so much for this awesome guy. Rebecca Dempsey, WI - May 2006: Linda, thought I would give you an update.  Felix is doing wonderful in his training.  My daughter has had a couple lessons on him and has shown him at Creekview yesterday.  I am sending some pictures of him.  Oh, he is about 16HH.

PIXY JANES STAR
PIXYS JOAK (aka Joker)
1996 AQHA Grullo Stallion
Sonnys Chance Joaker x Pixy Janes Star
We had a great year, we bred 135 mares total. Joker
was our number two breeder, only our palomino bred more mares than he did. Thanks again for letting us have him. My husband is riding him now and taking him to the local sale barn every Friday to work cattle through the sale. He rides like dream and he uses him in the pasture to herd cattle and rope. Shirley Allen, Winsboro, TX
Pixys Joak was sold to Carrie Trammel....Linda, I took him to a show last weekend. He got a 2nd and 5th in dun factor. I had to leave early and missed the pleasure class. I am starting him over fences since he is so athletic. Carrie Trammel, Wolfe City, TX

JOAKERS MIDNIGHT SON

I am using him for Living History events and most of all my favorite pleasure riding on the trails. Many people comment on his king eye and calm disposition. He is like a big puppy dog. We love him dearly. I just personally wanted to thank you for producing such a fine animal as Midnight. Al Czamecki, WI
