WILL OF BISHOP JOHN SHANLEY

 

Fargo, North Dakota, Jan 18th, 1902

 

To the Executer of my last will:

 

   All the real estate held in my name is the property of the Church and is to be deeded as such either to my successor or to the congregation to which said property really belongs.

   All the furniture in my house is my personal property, except-

 

1st The furnishings in the apartment occupied by my sister Mrs. Elizabeth S. Kelly, which belongs to her.

 

2nd The furnishing in the bedroom and sitting room of Father Egan, which belong to him, and

 

3rd A Densmore typewriter and office desk in my private apartment which belong to the ……….

 

I give to my successor all my furniture-

   To my successor I also give my library and all manuscript which may be in my possession at the time of my death.

 

To my Sister Mrs. Elizabeth S. Kelly, I give the residue of my estate knowing that she will carry into effect my wishes in the distribution thereof. The rest of my relatives will be satisfied to receive things my sister, Mrs. Elizabeth S Kelly whatever she may give them.

 

There are no persons in debt against me.

 

An insurance policy on my life in the John Hancock Co. is payable to my sister Mrs. Elizabeth O Kelly, who has paid the premium thereon.
