I have a collection of check stubs from 1945.
I also have his application for work on the Soo Line Railroad which gives previous employment.
He was a member of the Lions Club. He was a railroad fan, taking pictures of any and all trains, traveling the USA to get "that" shot.
Received commendation for stopping train for ambulance in 1981. I have the letter.
I also have his resignation and retiring.
He received the Wisconsin State Genealogical Society Century Family Certificate as a descendent of a pioneer settler who lived in Wisconsin one hundred or more years ago.

Francis married 1 Dorothy Frances THORNTON [scrapbook] daughter of John Shanley THORNTON and Marquerite Irene NUNN on 25 Sep 1943 in Fond du Lac WI. Dorothy was born 2, 3 on 2 Mar 1924 in Los Angeles CA.

The State of Wisconsin certified me as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. I worked at the Fond du Lac County Mental Health Center. I was an Upholstery Supervisor for Advocap, trying to teach the unemployed how to hold a job. I had my own business as an upholsterer. I am a photographer, a railroad enthusiast, a Homemaker. I was a 4H Leader for many years, member of the Lions Auxiliary, Secretary of the Fond du Lac County Labor Council, model railroad enthusiast, member of the Milwaukee Chapter National Railway Historical Society. I was editor and publisher of the Winnebagoland Model Railroad Newsletter. I was Editor of Sparks and Cinders of the Wisconsin Chapter National Railroad Historical Society in 1986 . I was President in 1987-88.

I physically helped build our home on the lake, was President East Central Rehabilitation Association, President of the Fond du Lac County Genealogical Society, Senior President Chief Oshkosh Society, National Society Children of the American Revolution. I was Past Regent of the DAR, I am Corresponding Secretary Fond du Lac Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution, Past President of the Fond du Lac Area Apartment Association. I was on the Parish Council of St Joseph church, the Prayer and Worship Committee, the Merger Committee for Prayer and Worship, and scheduler of various ministries at the church. I was a Lector and Eucharistic Minister. I taught Religious Ed and helped start the Parish Library. I maintain the Web Site for St. Joseph Church.
