Herman and Joyce Curtis, along with Gerhart and Pat Wille, talked for a number of years about a club for game breeders in Wisconsin. On March 9th, 1974 the first meeting was held, with seventeen people attending. Thus was the birth of the Wisconsin Bird & Game breeders Assoc.
At this time, the club has approximately 400 member, including members from many other states.
Wisconsin Bird & Game Breeders Assoc. is for anyone who raises, or is interested in any kind of bird, game animal or exotic.

We sponsor a buy-sell swap meet the 2nd Saturday of March at the Fond Du Lac Fair Grounds and a two day combination "bird and animal show" and "swap" the last weekend of October, also at Fond Du Lac.

We work with the D. N.R. and state legislature to improve regulations regarding game farms in Wisconsin.

A newsletter, "The Bird and Game Pen" is published eight times a year at approximately six week intervals, containing information,  interesting articles, classified ads and dates of upcoming sales, swaps and events.

We have meetings  about every six weeks.  They are held in private homes all over Wisconsin. All are welcome to give their views and ideas to make our club one of the best.

Any person may become a WB&GBA member.
